The International Naturist Federation was founded in 1953 and its legal seat is in Austria. Worldwide, it covers over 30 countries with a national federation, as well as a number of countries where naturism is still in its infancy and where the INF works through correspondents.
The INF-FNI strives for the official recognition of the human right to nudity in a natural environment and in natural conditions.
The International Naturist Federation is the umbrella organisation of all naturists who have joined one of the following national federations: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic,Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway,Poland,Portugal,Serbia,Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, and UK. INF correspondents operate in the following countries: Argentina, Bulgaria, Chile, Czech Republic, Greece, India, Lithuania, Macedonia,Taiwan and Uruguay.
Membership of a strong national federation, either through a club or as a Federation member, offers many advantages. The INF-FNI membership card provides access to the grounds and activities of naturist clubs worldwide.
The three official languages of the INF-FNI are: English, French and German.
